In 2013, Laurence took part in the singing competition "Voice of Asia“, produced by Abird Production and hosted by M.SICK Media. It was during then that M.SICK discovered Laurence’s talent and assigned a contract with him. He became popular for his Chinese & English cover version of songs such as "Fairy Tale" and "Ye Zi". He then participated in various Chinese TV programs and entered the eyes of the public in mainland China.

 

In 2016, Laurence participated in a talent show called "Sing!China" and made it to the top 6 of musician Liu Huan’s team, he also sang The opening theme song - "The Sea" of The "Mahua FunAge"'s film called "Hello, Mrs. Money". The artistes who have cooperated with him included Julius Liu, Huang Xiaoming, Ada Liu, JJ Lin, and Fei Yu-ching, etc.
